Swim
Comments: Fast out and back. Lots of bumbing throughout the race. I just went fairly hard and steady and drafted on the second half. What would you do differently?: nothing I can think of. Transition 1
Comments: Was able to cut time off my T1 from last year. What would you do differently?: Try to get even faster on T1 Bike
Comments: A fast paced race due to the short distance. Was able to shave off 30 seconds off time from last year. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: Cut time off from previous year. What would you do differently?: Improve even more with practice. Run
Comments: Went as hard as I could. This was a good test on my left ankle as I was coming off achilles tendon debridement surgery last November. I bonked about 2/3 though and walked for about 20 seconds, then finished strong. I have only been running for 6 weeks and training at only 1.25 mile twice a week to gradually increase intensity amd distance coming back from achilles tendon surgery. What would you do differently?: Keep training to be able to enter full sprint distance triathlons later in the year. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and hydrated What limited your ability to perform faster: Coming back from achilles surgery limited my run training but I came out with no pain and beat last years time by 3 minutes overall. Event comments: A fun race and perfect to start the season. Last updated: 2012-06-11 12:00 AM
