Pre-race routine:

Not much, get up early, drink some water, walk around and stay warm. Dropped off my gear back with hat, gloves and sweatshirt about 10 minutes before race start.

Comments:

Was really crowded at the start. Should have been closer to the front, as a lot of slow people and some walkers were towards the front. Ran on the grass part way down the "chute" to get past slower people. Could have dropped some time off that way.

Towards the end was feeling a bit tired, as the adrenaline had left, but locked on to a group and kept up with them for a strong finish.
What would you do differently?:

Start more toward the front.
Post race
Warm down:

Walk around for about 10 minutes to cool down and get legs feeling good. Drink water, eat a banana and have a chocolate milk.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training probably. Was really pleased with the race time! About 1:45 faster than last year!

Event comments:

Very good race. Perhaps a half marathon next year??
