Swim
Comments: at the point turning toward the return leg buoy, the sun is in my face and I don't see anything! Follow the bobbing heads. A lot of duckweed and grass in the water. they allowed a swim to the left of the final buoy because of all the weeds. What would you do differently?: remember the tinted goggles. Transition 1
Comments: kinda slow. right knee was a bit tight. it is a VERY short stretch from mount line to first corner. the focus is solely on not getting tangled up with another bike. Bike
Comments: With HED 9 wheels on. i wonder if the added weight on a short course is a detriment, but I still think it helped. Tried to keep pushing all the way around. good times! Transition 2
Comments: Actually felt like T2 went pretty well. Wasn't sure how I would feel after pushing on the bike. Run
Comments: I felt good coming out of T2. But once I started the run, I could feel the soreness from the motorcycle accident, so I decided I would do a 2 min run/30sec walk. Heartrate stayed down, even with the heat. That seemed to work okay. Post race
Warm down: Walking, drinking water, cool-pops. Event comments: I felt pretty good about my effort, given the soreness from the day before. I need to work on my swim, and my run pacing. Last updated: 2012-06-18 12:00 AM
