Pre-race routine:

Not much, woke up and tried to stay relaxed. Had 1/2 a piece of toast and 2 eggs at home. Also ate a waffle in transition. Just stayed as relaxed as I could.
Event warmup:

Took our bikes out for a short spin. Also got a lap in the swim beach before my wave

I never really got my breath under control until nearly the top of J, and furthermore, hydration was tricky at that point. Also, my quads were burning pretty much the entire ride. Good things though too. I cornered well, went up some hills with aggressiveness, and sustained some great speed on the back half.
What would you do differently?:

I think not beat myself up so much early on in the ride

For some reason, I struggled. I don't really know why. I think I exhausted myself on the bike.

Train a bit better

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of hill training and lack of distance training

Event comments:

Very disappointed with no water bottles, the aid stations were lacking, post-race food was lacking. Overall not the best tri it could have been
