Pre-race routine:

Pre-race routine? What is that? i woke up in another state, packed, drove to my uncle's house, stopping for McDonald's (SALT) along the way. That's what happens when your wave is at 1700....
Event warmup:

Really, it was plenty hot outside. Who needs warm ups?
Post race
Warm down:

Try to not fall down in the mud after getting out of the mud pit. Get a medal, find my uncles, get hosed off. Have goofy pictures taken. Drink "beer."

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Me being me, heat (really, am i supposed to have goosebumps when it's 90F??), and misuse of controlled substances (albuterol).

SUPER FUN.

i have no idea how you'd actually race something like this, but it's a hell of a lot of fun, AND you get a plush viking helmet. What's not to love?
