Swim
Comments: It was about 100M before the first turn. So, I just relaxed and found some space. By the time we reached the first turn, the pack was thinning out. As I was breathing I could start to see less and less green caps. We reached the back of the yellow caps. I got towards the front of the yellow caps. It felt good to race some on the swim. What would you do differently?: this swim was about a minute longer than the last time I did this race. It just shows that I need to swim more. Transition 1
Comments: I ran hard to T1 but I guess not hard enough. I got a little turned around on how far down the row I needed to go and lost a little time. What would you do differently?: Follow what Dan A. preaches...walk from swim to T1! Bike
Comments: Very slow bike. I did not handle the hills well. I hammered the flats well. I only got passed by two guys, so I did not do terrible, but I was average in my AG. Transition 2
Comments: This was as quick as the quickest. I got my feet out in advance of the line. Nice flying dismount and run to my spot. I sat down to put my shoes on...damn I can't break that habit. Put hat and belt on while I was running. Run
Comments: This was a plotting run. Hit this pace and just could not turn it up from there. I am not going to complain. I am still running most runs at base pace, so there is no high end in the legs. It will come next season. Post race
Warm down: I hung out with Coldfire, little shard of iron, and his wifey. They have a really good thing going and a very nice family. Event comments: Tri the Parks is a nice smallish chill race. This was my first race 6 years ago. Nice to go back to your roots now and then. Last updated: 2012-06-19 12:00 AM

Up early, so I got a normal breakfast and headed out. Got to the site with plenty of time. Setup then hung out with Coldfire and his bro for a little bit.
I swam the course to loosen up the shoulders. I have been soooo slack on swimming, so I wanted to make sure I was good and warmed up.
