Swim
Comments: I thought I did pretty well on the swim. I did my best to slow down my breathing and to stay on course. The water was warm and I was one of the few who used a wetsuit but I'm glad I did because it really seemed to help. What would you do differently?: Continue to practice on speed work. Transition 1
Comments: T1 slow due to wet suit getting stuck around my feet. What would you do differently?: Peel my wetsuit off in a way that it won't bunch at the bottom. Bike
Comments: First loop around the course was somewhat difficult but the second was much easier. Maybe I got my legs on the second lap? What would you do differently?: Continue to practice the hills. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Hilly from the start, fatigue started in right away. Tried to keep cool by pouring water on my head. What would you do differently?: continue to practice hills. Post race
Warm down: Sat in the shade and cooled down for twenty minutes, then walked around the park. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and hills. Event comments: Even though it was hilly and hot, I always enjoy a challenge. For the most part I really enjoyed the race and would do it again. Last updated: 2006-05-24 12:00 AM
