Pre-race routine:

Had a cup of coffee, went down to transition area to set up. Numerous trips to the restroom, nervs or the burrito from the night before.

I thought I did pretty well on the swim. I did my best to slow down my breathing and to stay on course. The water was warm and I was one of the few who used a wetsuit but I'm glad I did because it really seemed to help.
What would you do differently?:

Continue to practice on speed work.

Peel my wetsuit off in a way that it won't bunch at the bottom.

Sat in the shade and cooled down for twenty minutes, then walked around the park.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat and hills.

Event comments:

Even though it was hilly and hot, I always enjoy a challenge. For the most part I really enjoyed the race and would do it again.
