Run
Comments: Honestly, I always seed myself honestly in races. I've been slow this year, and KNEW that I could do 5 miles in the 11:30 range, so I registered for that wave. I should know better, most people seed themselves too high. I passed tons of people. Not that I'm proud of it. Most of them were just out for a relaxing walk and in my way, of my slow steady death march jog. That said, I did GREAT considering no training. The obstacles were fun and although there were some backups that slowed me down (most people back in the slow wave used the obstacles as stop, think, stare, and eventually slowly take the obstacle break while I wanted to just keep on MOVING) I didn't walk AT ALL until we had already been out there for 59 minutes. I walked for about 2 minutes, but finished strong. Just proof that I can get it done when I have a reason. What would you do differently?: Seed myself higher, and just start in the back of the faster heat. Run??? Post race
Warm down: 1. Hose off. 2. Find friends. 3. Beer truck. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not running and people all in the way. Event comments: I would certainly do this again. There were about 600 runners in the race, but they had PLANNED for 1500. That course could not hold much more than what they had....2times what we had would have been miserable.
