Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5:30, had three cups of coffee, ate some oatmeal got gear ready.
Event warmup:

Not too much. Talked to some people before the race, drank my protein shake and ate a banana, got the wet suit on

Comments:

Overall happy with results. Tried to concentrate on form. I let the faster swimmers go first which let me settle into my rhythm and maintain form. Sighting overall was pretty good, couple times veered wide.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe push it a little harder. This was my first swim race and on the third time I swam .93 miles or more. I wasn't exhausted when I was done which is great news but also indicates I could have pushed harder.
