Got up early and attempted to eat. Was a little to anxious but was able to force a clif bar down.

Comments:

There was a little swell in the water in the morning that made it tough to get out to the first bouy. Sighting was a little difficult coming back in and I drifted a little further north up the beach than I wanted to which made for a fun little run in the soft sand.
What would you do differently?:

I was happy with my swim overall. I think for the next I could just get a little stronger in training

T1 was good. Took awhile to get my feet into my shoes once on the bike. Luckily I was out of the water before most of the people racked around me so I had zero competition getting out my bike

Nice out and back course with light headwind for the first half, tail wind coming back (maybe 5mph)
What would you do differently?:

Same as with the swim, but more important with the bike as I seem to lose a lot of ground on the group with the bike, I need more training. Still getting comfortable in aero

I was actually very surprised to see T2's time at a minute. Felt like I took 3-4 minutes getting dressed.

Really disappointed with my run. I like to think I'm somewhat of a decent runner and was pretty much out of gas when I started the run. Drank too much at the water stations. Overall this was the first time I ran a 10k after the bike so I'm not upset but know this is where I can improve the most.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster haha. I drank entirely to much from T2-2 miles into the run.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

still getting comfortable on the bike, need to do a few more bricks before my race next month, the 80-90 degree heat didn't help either

Event comments:

I've only done tri's put on by drcsports and I couldn't imagine anyone else doing the job much better. Always fun. Wish more people showed up for the OLY distance race
