Pre-race routine:

Up at 4 AM. Showered, ate quickly and met a friend at 4:35 to ride over to transition. Wish I had worn something over my kit!! I was a bit chilly. Happy to have plenty of time and not rush.
Event warmup:

Took an early bus to swim start. Had plenty of time and relaxed with fellow teammates. Did a very short jog as no swim warmups were allowed.

Improved my swim over Eagleman. I think I am somehow a better swim without a wetsuit (this puzzles me!!). Swam on course for the most part. Could not really get on anyone's feet. I did try to limit my breathing - 4 strokes then 2, repeat. I think this helped.

Event comments:

I really liked the convenience of this race and it is well run. However, the bike course is just so crowded. I really liked the swim though. The run course was fine.
