Run
Comments: My legs were definitely slugish from the long ride the day before, but not a bad effort, especially given the temperature and humidity. I pretty much ran a consistent pace throughout, and passed a lot of people in the last 3 or 4 miles. What would you do differently?: Nothing, I was just doing this for fun and as a training run for IM Wisconsin, so I didn't really rail on it too hard. Post race
Warm down: Walked out a couple miles to walk in with my wife. It was getting pretty hot at that point. Drank some water and chocolate milk, got my age group award, and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Long bike the day before, and lack of run base due to all winter long knee problems this year. Event comments: I had a great time! I rode 110 miles Saturday in prep for IM Wisconsin, so I didn't come into this race completely fresh. I tried to hydrate well and relax after the ride. Up at 5:45 for the short drive over to the race site, and I noticed right away how humid it was. Pretty much just drank some water and gatorade and hit the portajohn before the start, and said bye to the wife (she was walking it).
None really.
