Comments: The swim felt very easy, and I tried to draft but wasn't very successfull. My navigation was horrible. What would you do differently?: Work on getting a better draft and navigation. I need to get clear googles. Transition 1

Comments: This was slow for me! I was not expecting the kind of hills I ended up having. I could have pushed harder, but wanted to save as much as possible for the run (I did see the hills in the run ahead of time). What would you do differently?: push a little harder Transition 2

Comments: The hill at mile one kicked my A$$! This was not chip timed and I think the split is off. My watch had my transition split at about 20sec longer and my run at about 20sec faster! Post race
Warm down: Water, red bull and some fruit. Picked up bike and other gear. What limited your ability to perform faster: My expectation of a flat bike (Who knew they had hills in central IL) Event comments: This was a great race, I ended up getting a plauqe and the food and drink after were great. My only complaint would be to get chip timing (already says they will on the web site). I was happy with easily swiming 1.5 miles and not being tired at all. Last updated: 2006-05-26 12:00 AM
