Total Time = 2h 57m 18s
Overall Rank = 175/300
Age Group = Clydesdale
Age Group Rank = 6/13
Pre-race routine:

Set up transition and then a long wait for my wave to start, over an hour.
Event warmup:

Not much, had to walk more than a half mile to the start line down the beach.
Swim
  • 30m 27s
  • 1500 yards
  • 02m 02s / 100 yards
Comments:

Got hit in the face and knocked my mask off right off the bat. Made the mistake of starting in the middle and could not get a clean line to swim in until half way through the swim.
What would you do differently?:

go to the outside to start the swim, stay out of the fray!
Transition 1
  • 05m 41s
Comments:

Long run .3+ miles to transition area
What would you do differently?:

Nothing felt I did a good job in transition even though this was my first race of the year.
Bike
  • 1h 17m 54s
  • 24.8 miles
  • 19.10 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt like a good ride.
What would you do differently?:

slow down a little at the beginning to get my legs warm and let my heart rate settle down. needed more fluids and more electrolytes!
Transition 2
  • 01m 57s
Comments:

Need to work on getting off of the bike, can't get out of shoes on the bike which slows down the dismount, don't want to fall on my butt because I slipped .
What would you do differently?:

Practice transitioning off bike
Run
  • 1h 01m 18s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 09m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

Legs felt strong other than cramping, If only I can quit cramping??
I was hoping to be able to keep no more than a 9min mile pace, but always felt i was going to severely cramp up if I pushed it too much.
What would you do differently?:

take more electrolytes on the bike, more water and gatorade sooner into the run
Post race
Warm down:

Not much, cool towel and lingered around the finish line waiting for team mates.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cramps!!!

Event comments:

Nice race, but there really should have been some better food! they said that they would have hamburgers and such, but those were chargeable items and we could not get into the transition area for almost 2 hours after the finish to get wallet.
Overall good race that I look forward to doing next year.
