Pre-race routine:

Knew what to expect this year. Got there early to get a parking spot. Picked up bib/shirt (had pre-registered this year). Hit restroom, wandered back to car. Waited for start...

Carried water this year so that helped. Plan was to go out hard and hang on as long as I could. Pleased with race.

Warm down:

Got water and walked out to observation deck. Stretched out there and then walked back to lighthouse.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training.

Event comments:

I really like this race! This year I won 6 LBS of lobster in the door prize drawing! How cool is that! Will definitely be back next year.

Course: Straight out from lighthouse out Highland Rd/Pond Rd to Cold Storage Beach. Turnaround in parking lot, back to road to Coast Guard Beach, Turnaround in parking lot and back to lighthouse. Out and back so what goes up must come down!
