Swim
Comments: Goggles were poor, fogged up. I struggled to see and after turning the second buoy, I started swim back toward buoy one instead of the next on the course. Adjusted, but lost at least 30 seconds. What would you do differently?: I did get new goggles. I think I'm finally dialed in on goggles now. Transition 1
Comments: I don't know my T1 because when I was taking off my suit, I realized my chip was gone. I was so mad. Stopped, found the RD. He said they could manually enter me and took my word off my watch for the 14:01 I noted entering T1 after the swim before realizing the chip was gone. No one was at the exit to mark me so no clue how long I was in there. What would you do differently?: I would say check my strap but I did. Several people lost their chips, they were oversized, clunky, heavy. Bike
Transition 2
Comments: Don't know my T2 as no one was there to take my number manually entering between bike and run. Run
Comments: Again, I probably didn't push *quite* as hard as I usually do in races since I knew my times would be skewed due to the chip loss. Post race
Event comments: All in all, I was proud of myself for still hanging in there and getting it done despite the lost chip and lost time. At least this leaves me a big opportunity to PR this course again when they have the 2nd race of the year in August Last updated: 2012-07-05 12:00 AM
