Pre-race routine:

Did not have time for much. Had to pickup packet race morning. there was a line so went from it to T1 to get bike set up and put bags in the car. Took a few pictures and headed to water.

I lost the draft from the start. Had it for about 200 meters then got out of it and was all alone for the rest of it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing had a good swim. Maybe wear my smoke goggles, instead or my rose ones. Sun was in face on way back

Things went well for as long as it was across the beach to T1. Maybe bout .25 mile to my bike but gave me time to strip suit down past waist going into T1

Nothing went fast once i was at bike

Got caught up a few times with the sprint people and traffic.. Just couldnt pass at times and seemed they was always on a MTB

Not to much to do different, did all I could with what I had to work with and made the best of it

Some sprint guy had his bike in my rack spot !!! and all his crap and kicked mine all over the place. Actually there was 2 bikes in my spot cause I was next to Nadine and there was no room and gear all over
What would you do differently?:

Couldnt do nothing but what I did. had a issue getting bike on rack but once i did it was fast out of T2

Not only was there runners on the beach but there was all the normal people out walking and picking up shells. made things interesting at points. Run was a little slow for me but guess i should expect that with the sand. first lap was fast 2nd slowed down for sure
What would you do differently?:

By this time of the race it was packed all the sprint people and beach walkers not really a whole lot that could have been but to deal with what kept coming at ya

Warm down:

had to grap camera and phone to get pics of Nadine, Natalia , Laura and Mark that was my cool down running to find them. Well worth it I love watching all them race

What limited your ability to perform faster:

traffic !!!!! both bike and run

Event comments:

I was gonna say not organized but they was. the race was late cause they county wouldnt let them on the beach to set up till 645 so we didnt start till 715 or so. it was a good race and fun, think they should move the run to cement. there is enough room for them to do it !

Course: On the beach 2 laps. Was OK once you got to the hard sand but going through the deep stuff 4x got rough for as long as you had to go
