Comments: Hot. I missed the first 2 drink stations. By the time I hit mile 3 I felt realy dehydrated. It was a really hot morning(close 90 by the end of the run). All in all it is a PR but I was hoping to break the 8 min mile pace. I think I set my expectations too high, Ive only been at this for a little over a year. Oh well next time. What would you do differently?: Hydrate sooner, not miss the water stations. Post race
Warm down: Walked around drank gatorade, ate a few oranges. What limited your ability to perform faster: I could say heat but it always comes down to training. Event comments: Great local race running it's 31st year with over 2000 participants. Quite the site. Last updated: 2006-05-27 12:00 AM

Wheat toasted bagel w/ butter. Packed my sling and walked to the race, about 2.3 miles Did a little run in between just to loosen up.
Stretching, about 5 minutes. Little run to the porto john. A vanilla GU 30 minutes prior to the gun. Drank water.
