![]() Swim
Comments: took the first bit slow, since i tend to go out too fast. my typical nemesis point, the across, went well. got into a nice groove on way back. got swam over too much during that groove, though. What would you do differently?: figure out how i can get faster/into a groove earlier. not hack up res water. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: trislide worked pretty well. some stuff out of position due to hoodles in my rack. What would you do differently?: be the first person into trans in the am to get the best spot. ![]() Bike
Comments: broke my damn saddle on stage; bike should have gone tons better, time-wise, at least. took the first part of the ride relatively easy because i knew the nasty climb ahead. What would you do differently?: moar hill training. LOTS MORE. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: stuff was scattered EVERYWHERE AND i didn't have my bike spot thanks to the hookers on my rack. seriously, have these girls ever raced before? should not come back into trans and NOT have a spot What would you do differently?: claim my territory. somehow ... ![]() Run
Comments: first half, averaging about a 10:30/mi pace. second half slightly slower, but knew that a pr was still within reach. last mile and a half went a lot rougher than i would have liked, though. What would you do differently?: brick it up, yo. ![]() Post race
Warm down: walk back to trans, grab camera, walk to finish line to watch pros and mrrmrr finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: training, breaking my bike mid-race, asshole doodles in trans. Event comments: shittier than last year, but still not bad. BRING BACK MY ORANGE DRINK TO POST-RACE! Last updated: 2012-07-10 12:00 AM
