Mass gaggle start, pack didn't seperate at all for the first 200m
What would you do differently?:

Line up closer to the shore and keep most swimmers to my right

Comments:

Shirt got stuck pulling it on over my head. Had run bib safety-pinned to shirt and two safety pins popped off getting it unstuck. Lost a lot of time repinning the bib.
What would you do differently?:

Get a cycling jersey and a race bib belt.

Got caught by the hill on moneysmith.
What would you do differently?:

Downshift to my low/low gears on the downhill instead of upshifting to try and build up speed. Oh, and get a new bike. Steel frames and down tube shifters are not for races.

Felt awful and slow during the entire run. Couldn't catch my breath or get into a rhythem. Surprised I was still under 9 min miles.
What would you do differently?:

Hydrate more during the bike leg so I don't have to try and drink and run.
