Run
Comments: Good run. It was over before you really knew it. I tried to "sandbag" a little, knowing I had a bike and another run coming. What would you do differently?: Wear lighter shoes. I had been training in them, but didn't have speed laces so went with the standard Asics. They felt so heavy. Transition 1
Comments: I totally screwed up trying to put my gloves on during T1 and spent way too much time on it. It ended up costing me a podium spot. Bike
Comments: I hadn't been cycling much this year, so I wasn't sure how this would work out. My goal was to avg 20mph, but I was only able to hold that through mile ~16.5 What would you do differently?: Train more on the bike! Transition 2
Comments: Uneventful T2 Run
Comments: Legs were feeling dead. The heat wasn't too bad, but the humidity was around 95%. My shoes were absolutely soaked, and the socks were squisy. What would you do differently?: Wear the ligher Newtons, despite not having speed laces. Post race
Warm down: Waited around for some friends to finish, but not much else. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training Event comments: This was a great race! It was my first Du, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The race was very well organized, and tons of fun. I'd highly reccomend it. Last updated: 2012-07-12 12:00 AM
