Felt pretty good on the first 5k. Forced myself to slow my pace quite a bit.

retry my mount...I was faster than the two people ahead of me and ending up mounting up between the two so I was swerving a bit.

More or less a flat course, 2 small climbs...super easy. Pushed my pace on the bike. Really starting to feel comfortable on the tri bike. makes me want to buy aero wheels now even more.
What would you do differently?:

I spun up the hills pretty easy...I think with as short as they were I should have attacked them more to eat up some more time.

More or less the same loop from before. FINALLY a year when my second 5k is comparable to my first. Holding back helped a lot. Might have to pick it up a bit on the next Du. I felt like if I left anything out on the course though, it wasn't much.
What would you do differently?:

Had I realized I was as hot as I was, I would have grabbed a bottle out of T2 and just poured it on me. I had to wait about 1.5k before I was able to do that.

fitness most likely. I felt like I did a good job of controlling the race to work for me.

Event comments:

Beer and Veggie burgers after! Glad I was able to pick up an AG award. The overall was from my AG so that moved me up. Another local who is usually in the top 3 had a DNF. I will take it any way I got it though. Will help me to fuel my desire to get better.
