Pre-race routine:

My first local race of the year and first real "speed" work as well. Rode 80 miles the day before for my Ironman Mont-Tremblant prep, so my legs weren't feeling too zippy. The last time I did this course was in 2007.
Event warmup:

Stubbed my toe big time walking down to the beach prior to the swim and it was bleeding pretty good. Its all black and blue now but it didn't really affect my bike and run as much as I thought it would.

Decided not to bother with wetsuit due to warm temps. Definitely gave up 3-4 minutes right there but didn't really care too much as this race was just to get some intensity work in.

Was feeling yesterday's ride on this one....Wow, I don't think I've been out of the top 2-3 AG bike split in many years. Not sure if the bike course has been changed or not since the last time I did it but I did a 53:40 in 2007.
