Comments: Bad panic attack. Forgot all training. Swam with head up. Needed to rest a couple times on kayaks. Somehow made it through. What would you do differently?: More practice in OW. Better prepared for large group in water with me fighting for space. Transition 1
Comments: Sat down to change to recover a bit from swim. Bike
Comments: Bike was overall a solid segment. Chip timer did not register this. Sucks. Transition 2
Comments: Took my time here so could see improvement if hustled more. Run
Comments: Was exhausted during run. Both quads cramped and noticed pace at times was over 10 but mainly in mid to upper 9's. That sucks. Also had issue with chip timer not registering. Very dissatisfied with run. What would you do differently?: Need more practice in bike-run bricks with longer bike distance than I did during training, which was like 10 miles tops. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Panicked swim sapped my energy for rest of race. Hill out of T2 hurt along with hill back into downtown. Event comments: Less drastic hills on run segment, especially coming out of T2. Last updated: 2012-07-19 12:00 AM
