Swim
Comments: I have been focusing more on my long swims and have lost a bit of speed. Basically I have been pretty lazy about getting to the pool also since the swim isusually one of my strongest. These days ittakes me about 500M just to warm up and I just neven got into my groove. A guy passed me off thebat but couldn't hold pace asI got warmed up. Tried passing a couple of times but couldn't get around. Finally anofficial sawmy struggles and told him to let me pass...by then only another 50-100m to go What would you do differently?: Practice more on speed Transition 1
Comments: Even though my time was pretty good I was a little flustered getting my helmet on...usually put on first then get bike, but for some unknow reason I decided to do in reverse. What would you do differently?: Not fumble with helmet Bike
Comments: Finally....thank goodness for my recent tribike purchase!!! While there isstill room for improvement I could not be happier with my bike. On my old roadie I was used to getting passed by faster bikes that looked as if theyweren't even trying. Today was my turn! I probably passed 20 people on the bike so even though computer was not working I knew it was going well. Stayed aero most of the time aside from tight turns and when I hada few sips of my drink. Great fast ride (for me) without burning the legs too much What would you do differently?: Just keep working on the bike Transition 2
Comments: Pretty fast here...I still put socks on to run so I guess I could befaster if I stopped doing that Run
Comments: OK, I am just not a fast runner, but I have been working on my run this year. This was a good run for me. I did have to take 2-3 10 second walk breaks to slow breathing, but was basicallly fine...legs felt good and could sprint a bit to finish. I am getting there....a minute faster/mile over last year Post race
Warm down: Not much just some water. I don't racewith a watch so I was very happy to see that my time was almost 5 minutes faster than last year (despite the slower swim). I thought I might havea shot at my first AG placing and managed to hang on for third....couldn't have been happier...and 7th fastest woman overall!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Swim....swimming fast for short distances w/out warm up...keep working on the bike and run Event comments: This is a great low key race that is very well organized. Perfect for a first race and if (like me) you just want to go really fast and test yourself. Great Job Racine!!! Last updated: 2012-07-23 12:00 AM

Up at 4 and picked up my friend who was racing too. Hada protien shake on the way and arrived to check in at about 6. Transition was pretty fullby the time we got there so had to squeeze into a spot about half way. PB&J sandwich at 7 and then just hung out and watched the new swim format
none....this really hurt me too
