Swim
Comments: I didn't have a bad time even with all the chaos at the start. I swam slightly slower because I was stuck behind a few people, but I wouldn't have gone much faster if I could have passed. Prepares me for OWS race I figure. Never got bunched up. I was slow getting out of the pool because there was a line for the ladder. Water was about 82 degrees? What would you do differently?: Try to pass earlier? Overall a good swim for me. I love swimming outside and this was a nice pool. Transition 1
Comments: I am very slow in transition. Have to put on shorts, shirt, helmet, socks, shoes... Still 10 seconds faster than last race though. What would you do differently?: Get a tri suit! Bike
Comments: Biking is not my strength - maybe knock people off their bikes so they will stop passing me? :-) Good ride for me though. Transition 2
Comments: Still working on transitions, but shaved almost 30 seconds on T2 compared to last race. Rack bike, toss helmet, change shoes, put on race belt. What would you do differently?: Run faster out of transition. Run
Comments: Good run for me, hip and knee pain hit after 1.5 miles and struggled to keep pace to the finish. Really had to push myself, but a good time overall for me. What would you do differently?: Just keep training. Post race
Warm down: Great post-race food. Grabbed a bottle of water and a hummus wrap. Sun was coming out finally but there was plenty of seating in the covered pavilion. Handmade awards were awesome. Great race, well organized. What limited your ability to perform faster: Being a newbie Event comments: Can't wait until next year! Last updated: 2012-07-23 12:00 AM
