Pre-race routine:

meet up with iz and drove down, and meet up with other people from my Team Triumph Club at the race, and had my usual banana and water, i did check out the water was kind of cold...
Event warmup:

no warm up...
Swim
  • 12m 37s
  • 800 yards
  • 01m 35s / 100 yards
Comments:

i felt really good with my swim, i know i wanted to go out hard and i did
What would you do differently?:

i would work more on my breathing, as i was swimming i lose focus on my breathing and i start to panic alittle, but i'm able to relax myself and get through it
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

my transition was good, still have that problem of the wetsuit sticking to my heels, still need to practice...
What would you do differently?:

its not that i would do anything different, i felt i did what i was supposed to do and what i was taught to do, its just i need to be faster
Bike
  • 42m 10s
  • 12 miles
  • 17.08 mile/hr
Comments:

my bike i felt great at, kept up with my fluids and my goo, and i really enjoyed the ride
What would you do differently?:

i wouldn't do anything differently with my ride, it felt great and i was comfortable with it and again i just need to work on my speed
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

this transition for me was good, i was alittle hot going into the run from this point so i just poured water over my head from one of my water bottle and then took off, i didn't lose a water bottle this time...
What would you do differently?:

i wouldn't do anything different i felt good with this transition
Run
  • 28m 15s
  • 3 miles
  • 09m 25s  min/mile
Comments:

my run was not good at all,my goal is to be under a 10 minute mile, which i did, but i'm just not feeling good going into my runs in my last two races. also with this heat i felt they didn't have enough water stations
What would you do differently?:

i need to get some brick workouts in, i think if i can bring my run time down i would do much better with my overall time of my finish
Post race
Warm down:

ate some post race food (my twin's muffins) and did some stretching...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

i know for a fact that my run limited me to perform up to what i wanted to do!

Event comments:

this race was organized and there were chips used for your times but i didn't notice any chip times for your transition areas, the voluteers were great and very helpful.
