I've been training a lot this year so I expected to do better. Though I did increase my pace by 5 mpg over last year.

Get in some more long distance training rides that don't have so many stops!

Couldn't catch my breath in the beginning. I have a foot injury so had to walk most of it.

Get my foot healed up and train more.
