Still can't swim.... last in my AG as usual, but took my time and got out of the water without wasting too much energy.

Considering cutting the wet suit to open up the calfs somewhat

Decent bike helped a lot to close the gap to the rest of my AG. Decided to use the road bike instead of tri bike as the milled road surface is pretty rough. Still used my disc wheel though and I never made sure that shifted ok. The top half of the cassette worked well, but the bottom end didn't, which hurt me a bit on the hill.
What would you do differently?:

Make certain the gears worked properly before the start...
