Swim
Comments: Not enough training leading up to swim, couldn't get a rhythm going with my free style stroke, ended up breast stroke 90% of swim. Though my mind set going into the swim portion was to survive and finish which is what I did. What would you do differently?: practice practice practice Transition 1
Comments: Slow T1, didn't run up the beach, took to much time catching my breath during T1 and drying myself off. overall T1 place 57 What would you do differently?: speed up and recoup on bike Bike
Comments: First few miles were below average, second loop of course was faster. What would you do differently?: push harder Transition 2
What would you do differently?: try to speed up process. needed my Xtenx laces for running shoes, this would have saved me 45 seconds. Run
Comments: first 200 yards out of T2 right calf was cramping, worked through it, moving to level running surface helped. I think cramp may have been from right side of road sloping down to curb (uneven)putting more pressure on right calf. What would you do differently?: find level ground immediately, push a little harder after first mile, lengthen stride sooner. Post race
Warm down: banana orange, a little stretching, water. What limited your ability to perform faster: apprehension, unfamiliarity, Swim, transition times Event comments: 1st drink station at start, final drink station of run was to close to finish, somewhere within the last quarter mile, needed a drink station at mile 2 rather then at finish. To steep a hill coming out of T1 if 95% of riders need to dismount. Last updated: 2012-07-31 12:00 AM
