Got up at the hotel at 430, drove to a house to meet with friends and ride to the race.

Swim was a struggle which wasnt much of a surprise. I wore my tri top jersey and it felt like a weight and drag.
What would you do differently?:

Not wear the tri top jersey on the swim.

First transition of the year and it went well. Rubber-banded the shoes to the bike to keep them level and it seemed to work really well.
What would you do differently?:

Run a little faster from the swim to the rack.

Didnt realize it right away but I lost my water bottle sometime after mounting the bike. No liquids on the bike which concerned me a little but didnt seem to be much of an issue aferall.

Since it was my first race this year, didnt want to push the run too hard and the beginning. Found a comfortable pace and then just continued to gradually add speed to the run.
What would you do differently?:

Pick up the pace a little bit quicker and try to sustain it longer (especially the last .5 miles).

Hung out waiting for Cindy and friends to finish, just socialized mostly.

Event comments:

Very nice event, may have to put it back on the calendar for next year.
