Run
Comments: don't know rank- there was a 5k going on at the same time. 34 out of all. Transition 1
Swim
Comments: serpentine swim. It was fine. The times include the run from the timing mat into the pool and back out, probably added a minute. I'm wish I had gone faster but I passed one guy and no one caught me so I felt like I was going fast. 25 yards so hard to get into a rhythm. Should have thought better about hitting the wall and pushing off. Transition 2
Run
Post race
Event comments: The race started 30 minutes late- for a 1-hour race, that's a pretty big deal. The run included multiple loops and half-loops, and the pre-race instructions sounded confusing but it was really laid out well. 2 water stations and 4 guys with clipboards checking numbers as racers went by to make sure everyone was doing the right number of loops. The swim was very smooth too- lots of volunteers, you just had to run and swim, not wonder where you were going. Awards took a riduculously long time. I finished the race, showered and got dressed, and they were just starting the 5k awards. The sheet was already up with the aquathon awards. I waited 15 minutes and finally had to leave without my award. This was a nice event but I don't think I'd do it again unless I had nothing else going on that day, because it started so late and awards took so long. Last updated: 2012-08-03 12:00 AM

6:30 breakfast, stretched, coffee on the way. Felt hungry so I ate a honey stinger waffle. As usual, digesting food during the race.
