Swim
Comments: This is by far my best swim. I was not freaked out today because I stayed away from everyone!! I think I could have swam faster but was happy to break 15 min (14:39) from pier to shore. (Had to run to T1) My strokes were more even and rhythmic ... breathed on both sides and also was able to navigate better today. I wanted to break 15 which technically I did!! What would you do differently?: Swim faster! Train more in the pool. Transition 1
Comments: My bike was jammed underneath the bar plus the guy beside had his stuff in my area!! I wanted to push his crap out of the way but I remained calm and nice, I guess. What would you do differently?: Move the guys crap out of my way!! Bike
Comments: I really enjoy the bike. I like the speed and my converted road bike (Scott Pro carbon) really did well. I wanted to break 45 in the bike and I was able to do that so I was pleased. What would you do differently?: Keep training with longer rides ... 3.5 to 4 hour rides will help me in the next event. (Swiss Pine) Transition 2
Comments: I was pleased with this time in T2 Run
Comments: I am happy with my time because I have tried to pick my running up in training and it is starting to pay off. I still am only doing around 40 miles a month but now that school is out maybe I can get more milage in. What would you do differently?: Nothing in this race. I accomplished my goal of breaking 22 in the run so I'm pleased. Post race
Warm down: light stretches ... drank water, apple, just relaxed and watched everyone else finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training time Event comments: It was good to be here this year after being in the desert last year and missing the race. It is a tough race because of it's location but I recommend it and will definitely come back next year. Last updated: 2006-05-30 12:00 AM
