Comments: Felt hot and uncomfortable throughout the race. Tummy was also a little bothered. Paced with even splits, which led to me passing a few girls that went out to fast. Was gaining on the 2nd place girl but just didn't have a final finishing kick. What would you do differently?: Run faster:-) Based on my tempo runs I thought I would definitely crack 21 and be closer to 20:45 or so. But the heat, hills and longer course were not conducive to that time goal. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Easy mile jog What limited your ability to perform faster: Fitness, heat, hills Event comments: Good event. The course was a little hilly but I hadn't trained on hills enough so my own fault. Only improvement I would suggest is more post-race food. They had pizza but were charging money for it.
