Swim
Comments: Good swim. There were a few guys who mixed it up til the first turn buoy but then a few of us got away. One guy was really hauling and 3 of us settled in. Came out of the water 3rd in the wave. Sighting was a bit tough due to fog coming off the water but I kept a pretty good line all the way around and pulled one kid with me. What would you do differently?: Nada. Transition 1
Comments: Good, clean transition. Puddle of water in my aerohelmet made things interesting. Wetsuit was off very quickly. 1/23 AG. 6/273 OA. What would you do differently?: Nada. Bike
Comments: Decent ride. It was cold and my legs weren't really responding that well. Probably could ride a lot faster but between the wet roads and my numb legs I did what I could. Was pretty cautious going into the turns. What would you do differently?: Push harder. Have a built in heater. Transition 2
Comments: Quick and easy except as I took my feet out of my shoes I realized how numb and unresponsive my lower legs were. 1/23 AG. 18/273 OA. What would you do differently?: Have a built in heater. Run
Comments: Decent run. Breathing was a bit tough and labored for the first 3/4 of a mile or so then I settled in. Once I got to the turnaround on the road I started to hit my pace and was able to open up my stride. Started to feel my feet at about the 2 mile mark. What would you do differently?: Internal heater. Post race
Warm down: Went to the car and turned on the heat. Ate some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not much besides the fact that I was freezing my ass off. Event comments: Good race. Glad I decided to end my season here! Last updated: 2012-08-09 12:00 AM

Drove over race morning. Got there a little after 8. Got packet and set up quickly and then hung out in the car as it was raining quite a bit. Put on the wetsuit and headed down to the water at about 9:30.
Swam about 400yds or so in the warm and foggy lake and floated around staying warm.
