Post race
Warm down:

Sitting around with my friends!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not sure if I could pass in the swim as much as I wanted to, transition time a bit slow, braked on the downhill and didn't speed on the one challenging uphill

Event comments:

My 1st tri in 13 yrs & I have to say the organizers did an excellent job. Things are a bit spread apart (parking, swim to transition, run finish to transition area) but not because they didn't plan that, it's just how the park is organized. Loved the run around the pond, loved the bike even though it was on a somewhat busy road. I think they could widen the lanes a bit in the swim or add more lanes or something, it was a bit crowded for the slower swimmers like myself. However, I really enjoyed myself & two of my friends who came to watch were inspired & want to do this event next year. Perfect race for beginners or people who love to Tri but hate being intimidated by crazy experts. I used a hybrid bike, not a road bike. There is one steep downhill w/a curve at the bottom so bike speeds aren't super fast but there is a great section with terrific rolling hills that was just plain fun to ride.
