Comments: After having a bad experience in my last OWS race I took this one too easy. But unlike the last race I was relaxed and didn't tire. The time includes using a wetsuit stripper and a 300m run to T-1 What would you do differently?: I lost about a minute using the Stripper, I will not use one again. Transition 1
Comments: Too Slow. What would you do differently?: Next year I plan on going sockless. Bike
Comments: I felt good on the ride. I passed about 50 people on the ride and was only passed by two riders. What would you do differently?: Nothing at this time. I will work on leg strength in the off season to try to gain 1-2 mph. Transition 2
Comments: Still too slow. Run
Comments: My goal was to run this under 24:00. I felt good all the way and passed about 100 people on the run, no one passed me. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: None What limited your ability to perform faster: I need to work on my OWS and work on getting faster on the bike. Since the people that finished ahead of me were 2-3 mph faster on the bike that is where I need to work in the off season. Event comments: This was the 10th year for the Rattlesnake Tri Series and the experience showed. The Aurora Res. is a GREAT Venue for a Tri, the water was almost clear, the bike course was closed to traffic and the run trails were scenic and fast. I will definitely do a Rattlesnake Tri next year, either the Sprint again or the Olympic. Last updated: 2012-08-14 12:00 AM
