Swim
Comments: Relatively easy swim. Some contact early on, but everyone spread out quickly. I still venture to the far right, making the overall distance a bit long. Transition 1
Comments: chose a position close to entrance and on end of rack. smooth going for the most part, just a little slow coming out of wet suit. Bike
Transition 2
Comments: Slow. With the rain at the start, I put my shoes, hat and garmn in a plastic bag. Getting them out slowed me down greatly as did trying to get the garmin on my wrist. Totally wasted about a minute What would you do differently?: I will keep the garmin on the bike and put it on while riding. I can easily do this and then not have to worry about it in transition. I can also powere it up on the bike and then it will be all set to go when I start running. Run
Comments: Easy run, even pace over entire course. No difficult hills to tackle or very steep downhills. Entire course is on pavement. Post race
Event comments: It is a good small race. Participants are very varied--some on mtn bikes, hybrids and older aluminum road bikes--and a few carbon tri bikes. Good course and fun event. Last updated: 2012-08-15 12:00 AM
