Swim
Comments: Pool swim. stay in your lane the entire route. Started out in the same lane as Nick. He started a little earlier than me. Had a good split. The time is misleading since we had to get out of the water and run about 50 yards to the T1 mat. Probably closer to 4:30 for the 300. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Felt good. Transition 1
Comments: Felt fast. Couldn't get my tri top on over my wet body and discarded it. Rode and ran with no shirt. Yep, I was that guy. Shoes were clipped in and I passed easily a dozen people running with my bike and hoping on. Shirt issue allowed a couple to pass me though. What would you do differently?: Tri suit from now going forward. Bike
Comments: Normaly Iowa rolling hills. Felt good turning around and using the wind. Out into a decent head wind. The final turn into town was really fast. I was averaging 25 mph and chomping down people in front of me. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good T1 considering I like to put on socks. Took off running with race belt and hat in hands and put on out on the route. Much better than last year's head phones, race belt fiasco. Run
Comments: Felt good. Picked up the pace towards the end and went a negative split. What would you do differently?: Start off striding a little more to get the legs rolling. Post race
Warm down: This is always a fun event and I was pretty happy with the post meal. Event comments: Great event that the City of Sioux Center is very happy to support. Last updated: 2012-08-16 12:00 AM

Only about an hour drive to Sioux Center from Sioux City. Got to transition when it opened, had an easy time getting set up.
The bike racks were located inside which is a nice draw to Sioxuperman. However, the racks were ready to fall over and there were sevearl concerned people about the their bikes.
Ran outside for a little bit. Couldn't get in the water as it was closed off from competitoin. Stretched and kept loose.
