Post race
Event comments: Overall challenging course but definitely no frills. Pros: Great use of volunteers to act as pool lap counters. This was very helpful! Great location with lots of opportunities for family to watch the action. Kids could fish in nearby pond to stay entertained. Shower facilities on site were a plus. Cons: 1) Organizers did not allow a racer in our group to pick up packets for multiple racers the night before. If this is the policy, then post it on your site prior to race so no wasted trips are made. In addition, the organizers had no record of the one racer who did come the night before and made him stand in line and sign another waiver on race day. 2) $40 registration fee should include a TECH t-shirt, not a cotton one. This was very disappointing(I'd be willing to pay higher registration fee if needed). Save cotton shirts for 5Ks. I think we all worked hard enough for a nicer shirt. In addition, consider adding race distances to the shirt design. 3) Post race food was minimal. A few boxes of Quaker oat bars, bananas, and water are nothing special. 4) only one port a potty?
