First few hundred yards felt tough. Managed to stretch out stroke after that. I started near the front but still passed many people on the outside.

Better than two years ago. Averaged 20.9 then. Actually passed several people, mostly on the hills. Still need to work on this for future races.
What would you do differently?:

Train more by starting earlier in the year. May/June just won't cut it.

Thought my run would be faster since I trained more than two years ago. Ran a 23:48 (7:41) then, but 23:58 (7:44) now. First mile was really tough. I bet I went over 8min for that first mile. Could not get the legs moving for quite a while.

Only race I've been to but very well run. Goal was to go 1:12 and managed 1:11:59. Can't complain due to amount of training. Want to shoot for sub 1:10 next year. More bike and run training, less swim.
