Pre-race routine:

Bagel with PB, yogurt, med coffee/hot chocolate. Bad night sleep, up at 1:30, tossed and turned. Got out of bed at 4:30 to meet Jen at the MD YMCA to car pool.

Very poor swim, couldn't swim straight at all, kept going to the right. Sighting was tough in the fog.

Caught up to Dan Champaign on the bike!!! Met him in T2 as he was getting shoes on. Dismounts are so good now, leaving shoes in pedals!!

Not stop to chat as much but it was okay.

Warm down:

Should have jumped in the lake but didn't. Rubbed right contact lens behind my eye, had to fish it out.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Speed on the run, and bad swim!!!

Event comments:

Newington Bike had door prizes to kill for!!! Aero bars, tires, accessories, wine - tons of it!! Way better than any Ironman event ever!!!

Did the Timberman HIM on Sunday, I was surprised to be able to do this Olympic on Sunday.
