Swim
Comments: Started in deep water about middle of pack, swam with the pack most of the way to the first turn buoy. Got caught up in some traffic at different points in the swim but over all a good swim. What would you do differently?: Swim faster,... Transition 1
Comments: Exiting was good, only issue was put on glasses and they immediately fogged up. I left them in transition rather than fool with them on the bike. In the future, I must forgo my prescription glasses altogether on shorter races. What would you do differently?: Dumb the glasses. Bike
Comments: Good ride till the end, dismount was the issue. Avg Pwr was 209, Nml Pwr was 222... NML pwr was right on target. Riding with little to no taper, I think there was more there, but I was just tired and had a hard time digging for the next gear. What would you do differently?: Need to work on pacing/shifting/climbing hills and generally hurting. Transition 2
Comments: Whew, that was a BAD T2. Entrance to bike is down a hill, right turn, and then dismount. I carried too much speed down the hill, and as I pulled the right leg off, over the seat and down, I went down hard. The more I think about it, the more I realize I don't know what went wrong. Could have been I locked up the front brake, the left foot did not unclip, just not sure. Either way, I wound up down at the dismount line on top of my bike. It would not roll, so I threw it over my shoulder and ran it into T2. What would you do differently?: Not wreck at dismount line! I practices only one dismount on Thursday night. I need to practice more. I also need to practice pulling my feet out of my shoes... then I would not have gone down on top of the bike. Run
Comments: I needed to find that extra gear earlier, I gave up too many positions on the run. I think the dismount wreck had me frazzled a bit for the first mile, then in the second and third mile was pushing it. Based on computer I negative split each mile, but could have dug deeper earlier What would you do differently?: Dig Deeper Post race
Warm down: Ran another 5k with wife and Keith What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental Event comments: Always a fun sprint to jump into.... Last updated: 2012-08-26 12:00 AM

Nearly the same as every year, get up eat, and get out the door. Differences this year, than in past 1) no coffee, since I am off of coffee, 2) no cinnamon bagels, just toast, and 3) a nervous stomach empting out.
Ran for 10 to 20mins with a few friends...
