Pre-race routine:

Took medication. Ate a couple of slices of Popeye bread. Downed an energy shot 15 minutes prior to start.

Little to no warmup, besides walk from truck to start.

Comments:

Forgot snorkel, and that was probably a good thing. Didn't require lifeguard support, only 2 breaks for backstroke. Not last. Stood to far right of wave, gave 5 second head-start to other swimmers. Didn't get kicked, bumped, or jostled.
What would you do differently?:

Very happy with performance.

Dizziness (normal). Slow transition from beach to bike due to gravel. Bike was about as far from bike start area as it could possibly be.
What would you do differently?:

Aqua shoes? Didn't feel like I could have done any better given condition after the swim.

Pleased with bike ride. Few mountain/hybrid bikes. Didn't have to walk up any hills (saw plenty of people doing this).

Did well. Wore camelbak, carried GPS. Good strategy for this run.

Given my phyisical limitations, this was about as well as I could have done. Can't think of anything I should have done or wish I'd done differently.
