Get more pool and open water practice sessions

I had trouble getting into my cycling shirt. The back rolled up on me, and I had trouble grabbing it from behind to loosen it.

Practice putting on my cycling jersy when wet and tired.

Comments:

I need to practice more on steep grade climbs, and climbing using my aerobars. Great sceneary of the captial and downtown Austin.

Comments:

I need to watch how I postion my equipment as my bib number was torn off of my race belt on one side. I assume this happened during the race as other competitors transitioned, as I checked it before I started.
What would you do differently?:

I need to work on spotting my area, as I stopped mid-way between where I thought it was and where it actually was.

Comments:

This is a hot and humid course. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids.
Post race
Warm down:

The race provides plenty of post race nutrition and fluids. They also provide a large area to walk around to cool down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My own physical shape and condition as well as my own swimming, biking, and running abilities.

Event comments:

Rain and stormy weather are always an issue for this race, but the weather conditions were better this year than last. This is a large race with a lot of competitors in all of the events. It is also a good race for spectators, but can be complicated due to its size and number of both participants and spectators alike. I really appreciated all of the volunteers who helped and cheered us along. There efforts really help to make this a first class race and a lot of fun.
