Run
  • 13m 28s
  • 1.8 miles
  • 07m 29s  min/mile
Comments:

decent run for me,...(transition times were not seperated so I am not sure where they added the time) I am not overly fast and could have probably pushed a little bit more but found a woman in front of me who I paced myself off of, I figured that I am stronger on the bike and would catch those really fast runners, and all the others ahead of me who I dont catch are just faster than me anyway.....i was 60th on the first run out of 256
What would you do differently?:

wanted to break 1 hr and missed by 3 seconds so maybe push the pace to a 7:20 mile
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

No one was given a T1 time and not sure if it was added to the run or bike.....I think it was added to the bike ???

otherwise it seemed OK
Bike
  • 31m 35s
  • 10.5 miles
  • 19.95 mile/hr
Comments:

This was my strong point today.....since a demorilizing HIM bike leg last year, I really spent a lot of time on the trainer and it paid off....as I am writing this I just saw posted that I had the 21st fastest bike segment/256 which really shocks me, because I used to be a pathetic biker.
Also I ride a stock FELT B16 with stock wheels and no aero helmet etc.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

no t2 time given...probably in bike or run segment
Run
  • 15m 1s
  • 1.8 miles
  • 08m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

legs felt heavy as usual in first quarter mile, if I split hairs I would have liked to be a little closer to my first run time (+- 30 secs) but overall very happy
What would you do differently?:

nothing but maybe a little more killer instinct on the run since I was essentially running by myself
Post race
Warm down:

couple bagels...hung out with wife kids and family till results posted

Event comments:

Eventpowerli puts on great races overall, and Carl Hart is the bike shop I use all the time. Only thing is I wish the check in went a little quicker but that is something I see with most companies and races I do and not just them....however maybe I just get a little impatient...also I had to check in my son and then myself
