Drove from Toronto to Montreal Friday evening. Hotel Govenenour (Crap) up 4 for drive to race
Event warmup:

setup from 5-7. fine but warm and humid, thunder all around but not on racesite!

i freak out the marshalls by starting barefoot. And the gravel part sucked, then good on the forst 3 rounds then issue with race director, she run with me complaining that I was breaking the rules, I stated no but also said I have shoes in my bag. She said carry on another lap and I will update you. next lap she nodded OK. I guess I know the rules best. But then a fierce thunderstorm made the next hours a frerzing pouring hell. Had to take on shoes to keep warm. Result was a lot of walking and blisters. 15 minutes in tent to stay out of flood.
What would you do differently?:

Plan for gravel. Jacket for rain and better brefoot basis.
