Pre-race routine:

Our hotel was a short half block walk to the start line. Woke up, at a Clif bar and had some coffee and water. Tried to calm my nerves...
Event warmup:

Not much. It was dark and there weren't any streetlights.

Comments:

Definitely happy with my results. Best time in years.
What would you do differently?:

Not mess up starting the Garmin at the start. There were no mile markers on the way back, so it was all guesswork as to where I was on the course. But my pace stayed fairly consistent and I could see the uprise (the end of the course), so it wasn't that bad.
Post race
Warm down:

Ran back to the hotel to take a quick shower, because they wouldn't let us do a late check out.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I still haven't been able to figure out the drinking while running. I actually ran this entire race without any hydration -- pretty stupid.

Event comments:

Great finisher medals, but no age group awards. This race was actually five races rolled into one, so I guess the logistics of holding an awards ceremony for a 5K, 10K, half, full, and ultra marathon was just beyond the race director. So it was a nice destination, but there was no hoopla at the end.

Course: The course was amazing! We ran across the John Gorrie Memorial Bridge, which was about 5 miles long. Then we wandered a little through neighborhoods, then back on the bridge. The sun came up as we were running outbound -- lovely! There was one significant uprise on the bridge that we had to run twice.
