Terrible performance. More back/breaststroke than freestyle.

Much open water and sighting practice needed.

Good variety of hills. Some steep and short some long sustained. 4consecutive miles of flats with smooth surface. 3/4 distance had very rough surface. Lots of cracks and patch work. Bone jarring:-(

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Too much energy wasted on the swim. Too much lake water in my lungs. Bike course conditions were very challenging.

Event comments:

Got this first one out of the way. I suffered and had fun. All three disciplines slower than i hoped for. Tons of fan support from family and friends and teammates. Totally addicted!
