Swim
Comments: Started pretty strong and actually had some banging of bars at the beginning with two other swimmers. I just eventually let them ago amd passed them a hundred years later. Some guy kept running into me the whole way no matter which way I went. We swam at about the same speed. He was in a wet suit and was eventually DQd. Cold water was definitely fast and I could tell the difference when I was in warmer water. What would you do differently?: I would try and use more bilateral breathing. Swimming straight was imperative in this event. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: I killed it on the bike. Fastest bike ever. What would you do differently?: Ride harder, I felt as though I left some out there. Transition 2
Comments: By this time there were other finishers already packing up and heading out or milling about in the transition area. There was even one dude laying down stretching his back or tanning. Lol. I plowed through all of them yelling "Excuse me!" the whole way through. They need a rule. I understand people have to go home but please people, there are many athletes still running the race. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I did okay. I will get better. Run
Comments: Took me about a mile to feel good after the bike. I feel as though I went faster the last two miles than the first one. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Haha! Post race
Warm down: Drink a Sprite eat some Famous Amos cookies and check my results. Podium celebration. What limited your ability to perform faster: Age and lack of fitness. Event comments: I just wish they had pizza. Oh well. Last updated: 2012-09-10 12:00 AM
